Check out the Launch Event!
The day after the Kickstarter launched, the developers met with fans, friends and the curious for a launch event at Requiem cafe in Anaheim CA. Everyone who came and played had a fantastic time and it was a real pleasure getting to share the game with new and old faces.
Multiplayer Realm
Q: What happens when there are no Demons left in the Demon stack?
A: The person with the most bound Demons wins the game.
Q: When a curse says you “must play candles as though they are 10s” or similar, does the candle get replaced or the rank (number)?
A: Curses that change the rank (number) of a card by referring to it by its suit affect only the rank of the card. The example above would result in all your candle cards becoming ’10 of Candles’. It retains its suit.
Q: When binding a Demon, can I play additional cards that are not relevant to the Binding ritual, for example to try to meet the Wrath Pact requirements?
A: No. All cards played must be relevant to the binding cost of the Demon.
Q: When binding a Greater Demon, can I play a Vessel as an Eater, Seeker, Keeper, or Mimic?
A: No. Vessels may only become numeric ranks.
Q: When using a Vessel to bind a Demon that requires a Vessel as one of its binding requirements (such as those on the Greater Demons,) do I still need to declare a suit and rank for the Vessel I play?
A: Whenever you play a Vessel, you must ALWAYS declare the desired suit and rank. The player to your left can exorcise your Vessel with a card of the same rank and disrupt your ritual.
Plague Expansion
Q: When passing the Plague card to another person, do you draw 3 cards before or after you pass the Plague?
A: The Plague card is passed to the other person first, then you draw 3 cards.
Q: Does passing the Plague card count as an action? (Relevant to Purging)
A: No, passing the Plague card to another person does not count as an action.
Solo Mode Realm
Q: What is Solo Mode Realm?
A: Solo Mode Realm is a 1 player variation which closely mimics the gameplay of the multiplayer experience but lets you play on your own!
Q: Do you have a printer friendly version of the rulebook?
A: Yes! Please download it by clicking HERE
Q: Can I use the Purge action from the multiplayer game in Solo Mode?
A: You may choose to take the Purge action when playing Solo if you need to. Purging must be your only action for the turn and you would still advance the Demon Row as normal at the end of the turn.
Soulitaire Realm
Q: What is Soulitaire Realm?
A: Soulitaire Realm is a 1 player game that can be played with a portion of the Realm cards which feels similar to traditional solitaire but with a unique, thematic twist!
Q: Do you have a printer friendly version of the rulebook?
A: Yes! Please download it by clicking HERE
Looking for storage options for your Realm collection?
Sleeved Realm cards are approx. 3″ x 5″, which is the same size as regular playing cards inside graded plastic cases. Storage options for graded cards work well for sleeved Realm cards. A search on Amazon will reveal many options, just make sure they aren’t “slotted”, which is a common feature for graded card storage solutions.
For a budget friendly option this box is perfect for topping with your special Realm backer sticker! (Your original Realm box will fit inside as well.)
